  About the Book

An Alpha Male and Curvy Girl Steamy Romance

  Maddox:

I first saw her at my football game. Beautiful body, amazing smile.

The way she looked at me when I ran up to the sidelines gave me a rush none of these other groupies could give me.

Turns out my reputation was a harder thing to shake when it came to Nicki.

Everyone seemed to be against me making it work with her.

Everyone seemed to want me to fail, but in the end I’m not just some player and Nicki is not just some girl.

I want to make a life with her and I’m not going to give up so easy.

  Nicki:

Every game, I saw him on the field with a smile on his face like he was doing it with a purpose and every game he’d run up to his mom and sister with the football like the win was for all of them.

I think I fell in love with him then.

Being with him, I got to see more of that side of him, but I also saw the side that was plastered on the magazines.

I know he’s changed but I’m also scared he’ll just hurt me like I have been in the past.

I just want to put that aside and take a chance with him, but that’s not as easy as it sounds.

Touchdown is a steamy and sweet romance between a football player and his biggest fan. Although it was hard for her to trust him after years of him seducing women which led to his player reputation, she showed both him and herself that love is possible for anyone.

  Chapter 1

  Maddox

Pop! Pop! Pop! The fireworks from behind the scoreboard erupted letting everyone know what I had felt as soon as I had reached the end zone with the ball in my hand. Bells tolled and our team colors misted around the field. I raised my hand up and screamed out in joy just as my teammates rushed up and grabbed me. Touchdown. Another score for the Chicago Hawks. Although surrounded by the support of an army of football players, I could only look past them to my mom and sister.

I bolted from the group and ran full throttle to the crowd forming at the edges. My sister, Miranda, had a huge smile plastered on her face. “Congratulations, Maddy!” she exclaimed. She was the only one allowed to call me that. I beamed up at her and turned to my mom who found my hand with ease. She let my voice be her guide as she turned to me and smiled.

“Another one, Maddox? I’m so proud of you!” she exclaimed holding onto my hand. I let her take mine and squeezed it. “Your father would be proud of you, too!” I grimaced at the thought of him. If she sensed my tension, she didn’t say anything. I looked at the reflection of myself in her sunglasses and placed the football in her hand. Even if she couldn’t see the win, at least she’d be able to feel it.

She jumped up and grinned from ear to ear before pulling the football closer to her and cradling it.

“I love you, mom,” I said. I turned to Miranda. “I’ll see you guys afterwards at dinner, okay?”

Miranda nodded, tucking a long strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. I threw another glance at my mom, her cheeks rosy and lips parted into a soft smile that always seemed to find its way home, then ran off.

  **********

Pop! Pop! Pop! There it went again the following Sunday’s game. The adrenaline coursing through me brought me three feet in the air with my fists pumping in the sky. Instinctively I ran across the field to my mom and my sister. I could see her now, her glasses tinted and hanging off her small nose, lingering by my sister who was smiling down at me. Maddy! Congratulations, Maddy! I could hear her now.

A noise to the right of her jolted me away from them. “Wooooooo! Touchdown, baby!” I heard. I threw a glance at the woman standing just next to her. She had long dark hair French woven into two braids that bounced as she jumped up and down in excitement. Her eyes shifted to me when I approached my family and she instantly quieted down, eyeing me shyly and huddling next to a friend.

She was beautiful. Even with her oversized jersey her hips managed to poke out and tease me. I tried to focus. “Congratulations, Maddy!” Miranda shouted. I gave my mom the ball and let her caress the side of my cheek with the back of her hand.

The woman snuck another look at me and whispered something to her friend, giggling at whatever they had just said. “You know, I could hear you better if you just came down here!” I shouted over the noise. Her eyes widened then she chuckled nervously. “Seriously,” I added.

She laughed again then said, “Oh, no!” Her friend made a face next to her.

“Your friend seems to think you should join me. It’ll be after the game, so you won’t have to worry about…” I looked around me and gestured to the huge crowd. “All this.”

She smiled. It was tight-lipped and feigned politeness. “I promise, I’m good…”

  “Maddox,” I said introducing myself.

  “I’m good, Maddox.”

“Well, can I at least get your name?”

She hesitated briefly then said, “Nicki.”

“Nice to meet you, Nicki,” I said taking her hand.

“This is my friend, Olivia,” she added as a soft blush rose to her cheeks. I had forgotten about her friend already, but I took Olivia’s hand anyway, my mind lingering on ways to get Nicki out of the stands and onto the field with me.

I moved back to my mom and sister. “You just can’t resist, can you?” Miranda asked with a smirk. “Careful, player, one day you’ll be the one getting hurt.”

I rolled my eyes at her and kissed my mom on the cheek. “I love you! See you at dinner!” I ran off, looking back for another peek at Nicki. It turned out she was looking at me, too.

  Chapter 2

  Nicki

“Nicki! Nicki!” I heard as I settled into my seat. Olivia, with her brown hair wrapped into a messy bun, grabbed my arm with her free hand and nudged her head in the direction of the field. I followed her gaze and saw Maddox with a lopsided grin. I rolled my eyes but smiled a little at his continued effort. This had to be the fourth time I had seen him run toward the stands and scream my name. “Nicki! I know you hear me, girl,” he said playfully.

Olivia sipped on her slushy and eyed me. “Nicki, if you do not give this man a chance, I swear to you I will.” I laughed and turned my attention to Maddox who was now moving toward the stands with the football in his hands. He stopped next to me by his mom and said a few things th
at made her smile.

I couldn’t help but look on with one of my own.

Then he turned to me. “Nicki,” he started. “You know my voice has been hurting calling out for you all this time, but don’t worry, it’s worth it if it gets your attention. Even gets you to smile.” I couldn’t help it. My lips immediately started curving upward. “There it is.” He gave me a crooked smile. “I just want to see it from down here though.”

“Okay.” My response caught him off guard.

“Okay? Okay!” he said with a grin. “I’ll see you after the game.”

“What about dinner?” his sister said from next to me shooting him a look.

“Ignore her,” he said. “I’ll see you…”

  “After the game.”

  **********

The field was amazing without anyone in it. The sky seemed to stretch for miles above me as the lights beamed down at us. I took it all in. The empty stands, the unraveling greenery, the crisp white lines. I turned around and saw him watching me. He had his hands shoved into his joggers, pensively holding his gaze over mine.

“Not so bad, right?” he said.

I shot out a laugh at the understatement. “Not so…? It really is beautiful, Maddox,” I said looking out again. “No wonder you look so happy down there.”

He moved closer to me. I could feel his presence from behind me and immediately my heart started speeding up. “You watch me?” His soft cologne wafted toward me.

“Uh, well, yeah, I watch everybody,” I said nervously. “You just kind of stand out I guess.” I was fumbling my words. Damn it, Nicki. “You’re unforgettable, really. When you’re playing I just can’t take my eyes off of you.”

He was so close now. Despite my better judgement, I turned to face him and placed both my hands on his chest, feeling it rise and fall. I lowered my head and let him hold me. “I think you’re the unforgettable one, Nicki.” I raised my head and fell into his deep green eyes. I should’ve kept my head down because then I wouldn’t be so entranced by them and I wouldn’t have let my eyes wander to his lips. But now it was too late, his lips had already met mine and I was kissing him.

Everything felt right as he moved his hands down my waist and drew me into him. His lips, soft against mine, were warm and addicting. With every embrace I savored his taste and with every embrace I wanted him even more.

“Can we get out of here?” I asked him in a breath.

He nodded and took my hand.

  **********

It was like second nature to him— grabbing a hold of my hand. I felt secure as we both walked into his house and moved to his kitchen. The gentle lights beamed over the large space. I took everything in—the pristine appliances, the large island with the marble counter top and the high ceilings. It was like our own personal oasis. “Make yourself at home,” he said moving to the fridge and taking out some items.

I slowly moved toward the island and leaned on it precariously. No one who heard, ‘Make yourself at home’ really did. I tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear as he passed me a glass of wine, entertaining myself with sipping it idly and watching the muscles in Maddox’s back tense as he reached inside the drawer.

Was he actually going to cook? He began cutting onions and cilantro on the island a few inches from me, giving me my answer simultaneously. “Where’d you learn to cook?” I asked him curiously.

He glanced up at me, his piercing green eyes sending a shiver down my spine. “I learned myself.”

My eyes widened in pleasant surprise. “Really?”

“I mean, I had to. After my mom lost her sight and with my dad not being big on cooking, I taught myself. Came in handy after all these years I’d say.” He gave me a smile before tossing the vegetables into the hot oil he had added to a skillet.

“Hm,” I said in awe. I took another sip of my wine. I had been sipping it so frequently to soothe my nerves, it was practically gone. Now, I could only stare at Maddox as he mixed in the tomato sauce and sprinkled some seasoning.

“I hope you’re feeling like pasta, tonight,” he said.

I actually was feeling more than that.

I hoped he didn’t notice how my eyes lingered over his chest and his biceps. The heat in the kitchen stemmed more from my body than the actual cooking. “Here, taste this.” He raised a spoon to my lips, training his gaze on me while I took it in. I didn’t realize how close he had gotten until he pulled the spoon away.

Maybe it was the wine or the way he ran his hands down my curves earlier or the fact that I had wanted to be in this position since the day I first met him, but I let him lean into me and kiss me.

He pulled me up out of the chair with both his hands and sat me on the counter, positioning himself in front of me as our tongues intertwined. My breath started coming out in jagged huffs. I could feel his heartbeat and mine, racing each other as his hands traveled around my thighs and under my skirt. I started moaning as his fingers strummed my pussy, raising a heartbeat in it that made my legs shudder.

“Maddox,” I moaned in his ears. “Maddox.”

He was like a musician—the right chord made my screams flow through the house like a melody. I could feel my underwear getting soaked, the cum dribbling down his fingers and down my exposed thighs

  “Say it again,” he whispered.

“Maddox!” I screamed. This excited him even more as he kissed me even harder, my pussy throbbing with every touch. We continued kissing as he picked me up from the table and prepared to carry me upstairs.

“Wait, wait, wait,” I said to get his attention. He stared at me wide-eyed. “The stove, Maddox.”

He laughed and backtracked a bit, shutting it off. “I guess you’re going to be my meal tonight,” he said making me laugh.

We moved upstairs, neither of us letting our bodies or lips separate until he threw me on top of the bed. I fell into the pillowy white covers, a cloud underneath my body as I let my mind teeter on the brink of reality.

He pulled off my skirt and panties and threw them behind him. The feeling of euphoria overwhelmed me as Maddox kissed me beneath my waist, pleasing me in the best way he knew how. I let a moan escape my lips as his tongue swiped the inside of me and spun around and around in circles that made me lightheaded.

“Fuck,” I said under my breath as the waterfalls drenched the sheets.

He moved up and kissed me along my hips and waist after I pulled off his shirt and he unclasped my bra. He slid his tongue along my chest and breasts. When he got to my neck, I started becoming impatient. The way he lingered, his cock pressed against me, teasing, making me want to scream.

His smirk let me know he knew exactly what he was doing but he kissed my lips too soon for me to complain, taking in my bottom lip and sucking on it just right.

He grabbed both of my legs and pulled me closer to him, pausing briefly and taking me in. He let his eyes travel down my body, down my wide hips and thick thighs and then leaned into me, tonguing me down just as he slid into me.

I could hear the clashing cymbals of his orchestra now every time his cock thrust into me. Our bodies moved in sync as we made love. My legs quivered with every pulse, my hands holding onto his back for support. I let my fingers drag, surely leaving marks, but not caring enough to think too hard about it.

  “Fuck!” I shouted again. “Maddox!”

He let this be his motivator as he put in more deep strokes, my legs wrapping around him as though on queue. My legs, although vibrating, were starting to lose feeling in them. It didn’t matter to Maddox as he took control of each of the strokes, short and long, using my screams as the fuel he needed to keep going.

My eyes rolled to the back of my head. For a while it just felt like I was floating, with Maddox being there to support me and plant kisses over my neck. As we slowed down, I could feel his heart beating through his chest rhythmically. Both cumming at the same time, I fell into him as we caught our breath.

We laid there quietly next to each other for a
long while before I spoke up.

“I should go,” I said after a moment. It was the truth, but without him over me there was little to distract me from my lingering thoughts.

  “So soon?” he questioned me.

“Yeah.” I started to rise and collect my undergarments that had been thrown carelessly about. I stood up and put my clothes back on. Now that we weren’t rushing to undress each other I could get a good look at his room. It was spacious, the walls unraveling above me and harnessing a chandelier that brightened the room.

  My phone began to ring.

“Are you sure you don’t wanna stay? I could have the pasta ready in like twenty,” he asked in the attempts to convince me even though I was starting for the door. I was waiting until I was outside his house to answer my phone, which was still ringing shrilly.
